Thank you to everyone who came out and participated and/or supported us in the Walk Like MADD 5k run! This year we were able to raise $1150! Over the last three years we have raised $2816 for Bakersfield's Mothers Against Drunk Driving. This is absolutely amazing and we could not do it without you guys!
We were super fortunate this year to have an honorary member join our team this year. This year our team was joined by the Farnsworth Family. The morning of Dec. 1, 2016, Gutierrez ran a red light as he drove south on Calloway Drive (under the influence). He broadsided Jourdan Farnsworth’s car as she turned into the parking lot of RiverLakes Community Church, where she was headed to lead a Bible study class. Jourdan Farnsworth, 23 at the time and spent days in a coma. She remains in a vegetative state. Jourdan now suffers permanent brain damage and requires 24-hour care. Jourdan enjoyed doing CrossFit and couldn't wait to see what the WOD was.
What a great 4 weeks to watch these kids grow and learn so much about CrossFit. Such a blast to work with young athletes and introduce them to the gym and the benefits that working out can lead to! We hope you all continue your fitness journey and keep your Trajectory going in the right direction.
Thank you to everyone who came and supported Coach Cass at the Nor Cal Classic. We are very grateful for our members and the support that you bring! Until next year!
Thank you to everyone who came and participated in Murph. We were able to donate $400 to the Navy Seal Foundation!

Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated our 3rd anniversary! We are so grateful to have such a great community of members and cannot wait for what year 4 has in store.
We hope that everyone had a fun time at the Condors game. It is always great to do things outside of the gym and support our local sports team!
We are very excited to announce that we will begin a nutrition challenge starting at the beginning of the year! This will be a fun competition between members that will lead up to the Open in February. It will be a 6 week competition with cash prizes for the top two females and the top two male athletes. The cost will be $30 per member.
How it will work:
Athletes will be expected to do 3 weigh ins during a select period of time. We are going to be working with Nutrishop, a local business that sells supplements. They have a machine at their business that will measure; total weight, body fat %, body fat in pounds, and total body weight. Athletes will be expected to download an app (free) to help keep score and track progress. The app will track who is winning the competition and adjust after each weigh in. We will also have a separate fitness challenge within the app that only our members will be allowed to join. Using the machine at Nutrishop is completely free and you may go any additional times as much as you’d like. Athletes will get points for losing fat, gaining muscle, and losing weight. If you lose muscle you will lose a point. No one will be able to see your actual numbers, i.e. weight, body %, total fat, they will only see the points you have earned. We will also be providing support throughout the competition with tips and recipes to help you throughout the six weeks.

We will participate in our 2nd year of completing the Chad workout during Veteran's Day. Please join us on November 13 to participate in the workout. If you would like to donate or buy a t-shirt, please follow the link below:
Sara Wilkinson and GORUCK present the hero workout “Chad” - in honor of Navy SEAL Chad Wilkinson who took his life on October 29, 2018 due to the effects of numerous deployments, several TBIs, blast wave injuries and PTSD. Our goal is to honor Chad’s life and legacy and to raise awareness for suicide prevention.
Last year’s Chad 1000X event saw 4,500+ registered participants (with over $100K raised) looking to be a part of something greater than themselves. To not only bring awareness to the epidemic of suicide, particularly among veterans, but also to help be part of the solution through the support to the Navy SEAL Foundation and other veteran health initiatives.
This year, join us again in paying respect to Chad Wilkinson and all those who have been lost to suicide, while also committing to try to change the number. #CHAD1000X

We are participating in the Bakersfield Walk Like MADD + Dash 2021 event to raise mission critical funds for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to fight the 100% preventable crimes of drunk and drugged driving. Did you know that 2 out of 3 people will be impacted by a drunk driving crash in their lifetime? Two out of three! Walk Like MADD provides an outlet for those impacted by drunk and drugged driving to channel their grief into hope and healing and provides communities the chance to surround and support those hurting by taking action to prevent others from suffering. How can YOU help? You can do your part by...
• Making a donation to help us reach our team fundraising goal
• Walking alongside our team to take steps to stop these violent crimes
• Spreading the word about Walk Like MADD by using the hashtag #WalkLikeMADD
Who is MADD? Founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking. MADD supports drunk and drugged driving victims and survivors at no charge through local MADD victim advocates and our 24-Hour Victim Helpline 1-877-MADD-HELP. Learn more at madd.org.

The Open is right around the corner and we are excited to be hosting our own in box competition. We will have different teams in the gym, however, there are chances to win some individual prizes as well as team prizes. There will be 4 different divisions, RX, Scaled, Masters (35-44), and Masters (45+). To participate in the in box competition the cost will be $30 and this will go towards your team t-shirt. Each participant will receive a t-shirt that will correspond to their team color. We ask that if you decide to participate, you choose a division that you will be able to compete ALL workouts in. We will also allow some extra time to complete workouts so that everyone should have a chance to get the Open workout in. You will have from Thursday-Wednesday to complete the workout.
You do not need to sign up for the Open through CrossFit.com to participate in this competition but we also encourage everyone to participate in both. We want to encourage everyone to participate no matter what the athlete's skill/experience level is. This is a friendly competition and all that we ask is for each athlete to complete every workout within the allotted time frame with their best effort.
